Team(s) Work! MSG Widens Focus; Expands Its Roster Of Authors, Partners & Ad Sales Execs

Author: Peggy Anne Salz

People who know me well know I am also a convert to The Only Sustainable Edge: Why Business Strategy Depends on Productive Friction and Dynamic Specialization, an invaluable business book written by John Seely Brown and John Hagel III, that shows (proves!) the richest opportunities for innovation/creativity/great ideas lie at the edges – the fringe, if you will. Tapping into the edges, where creative friction can produce breakthrough ideas and innovation, yields success. Moreover, sustainable advantage is gained by those companies/organizations that purposely position themselves at center of this new knowledge creation, rather than focusing on protecting what they already have.

What does this have to do with MSG? This book provides the blueprint for my business model. Born connector that I am I have made it my mission to tap the edges and build a knowledge portal. The objective: To create a respected resource and forum where the industry can learn about key developments around all things digital at the intersection of content and context and the ultimate impact on their bottom line. My meetings during CTIA were a huge success, allowing me to tie-up with a dedicated team of supporters and business partners that will bring MSG a giant step forward.

Indeed, C-level executives, esteemed colleagues/analysts and industry luminaries are on board to contribute regular columns and thought leadership; vendors and sponsors who share my vision will co-create new “briefing” areas on the site to offer the MSG community maximum value and benefit; and partner sites will provide focused news and commentary.
