See Innovation & Discuss Ideas @ Europe Mobile Media 2009 This Week In Prague; Organizers Offer MSG Readers Discounts

Author: Peggy Anne Salz

Taking a short break from my research projects and excellent line-up of C-Level briefings/interviews to speak on mobile search and content discovery at the 3rd European Mobile Media Conference this week in Prague (April 22-23). I’m particularly excited about the line-up of high-caliber interviews/podcasts at MSG this week, and will list these regularly in the text box located in the MSG header at the top of the homepage.

mobile media prague See Innovation & Discuss Ideas @ Europe Mobile Media 2009 This Week In Prague; Organizers Offer MSG Readers DiscountsThe European Mobile Media Conference is a great way to connect with professionals and practitioners having a profound impact on the mobile industry across Eastern Europe, and I particularly look forward to briefings and meet-ups with mobile executives from the Baltic region, for example. And now there is even more reason to attend: The organizers have extended a special last-minute discount. You can attend the two-day conference for just €300, if you register using the code HMR30.

Thanks to Jan Rezab, CEO of HungryMobile, a mobile industry consultancy and European Mobile Media Conference media sponsor, for bringing this offer to my attention. It’s a great deal and I encourage MSG readers to register. If you plan to be there on April 22, please contact me directly to connect during the breaks. If you want to be sure we meet up, please email my PA Andrea Henninge (andrea@msearchgroove.com) to set up a briefing.

Event speakers include: Jonathan MacDonald, Senior Consultant at OgilvyOne, and mobile advertising evangelist; Volker Hirsch, EVP Corporate Development and General Counsel, Connect 2 Media; Christopher Kassulke, CEO, HandyGames; Russell Buckley, Global Chairman at MMA, VP Global Alliances, AdMob Europe; Mark Challinor, Managing director at g8wave, European Director, International Newsmedia Marketing Association; John Strand, Strand Consult;  Ola Svartberg, CEO, Rubberduck Media Lab; Gunnar Selleg, CEO; Aspiro; Martin Desrosiers, NAVTEQ Europe; Mark C Linder, Global Client Leader, WPP; Frank Gotthardt, Executive Director Eastern Europe, TMN Capgemini; Radek Frank, Customer Product Manager, Vodafone; David George, Key Account Manager, Ericsson; Ladislav Mozny, Vice President Strategy, T-Mobile; Dina Bartels, Strategic Marketing Manager, Nokia Siemens Networks; and (of course) Jan Rezab.

Regular readers may recall that Jan, who is also the creative spark behind Opinions in Mobile, and MSG are closely aligned.

The site, an online knowledge-sharing platform that features executives, leaders, and luminaries from companies in the mobile services and entertainment industry, poses questions related to the latest issues and hot buttons impacting the mobile market to the community of experts, and then publishes the responses throughout that week. This exchange offers invaluable insight into the topics and trends impacting the mobile industry at all levels.

Contributors include: Lawrence Cosh-Ishii, Representative Director at Mobikyo, and Co-Founder at Wireless Watch Japan; Ray Anderson, CEO, Bango; Andrew Grill, Business Development, Gigafone; Monty Munford, Creator, Monty’s Gaming and Wireless Outlook; Jonathan MacDonald; Sven Halling, VP Marketing and Games Services, End2End Content Services; Volker Hirsch; Mark Challinor;  Russell Buckley; Arjan Olsder, Owner, MobileGamesBlog.com; Christopher Kassulke; Ulf Morys, Finance director, Ubisoft; and Vassili le Moigne, former Area Manager, Microsoft Mobile Communications. I am also a contributor, but frequent trips and projects have kept me from contributing as often as I would like. However this will change – along with a few other things.

For one, Jan’s site will figure more prominently in the new Knowledge Sharing Zone, a redesign that will allow me to showcase “the blogs and sites that set the bar” (my chosen strapline). The zone will include the sites already listed in the sidebar, and provide readers a chance to suggest sources they would like me to consider for inclusion in the list.

The goal is to create a comprehensive list of destinations (ranging from opinion and insight to news and reference) that will allow us to understand and follow all things digital at the intersection of content and context.

If you would like your site or blog to be considered, please email it to me (peggy@msearchgroove.com).
