Some of the highlights from the September 2007 report include:

IMPRESSIONS

· 42.2 percent of impressions were from the U.S. market

· The North American (44.2 percent) and Asian (22.3 percent) markets account for two-thirds of the global impressions

· The U.S. and India deliver more than 50 percent of global impressions

DEVICES

· Nokia leads the way with 30.4 percent of impressions when analysed by handset

· Its nearest rival, Motorola (13.3 percent) have the top two handset models – RAZR V3 (4.0 percent) and KRZR K1c (2.7 percent)

· Nokia only has one devise in the top five – N70 (2.2 percent)

· Three of the top five devices in the U.S. are smartphones

· All ten of the top ten devices in India are made by Nokia

The report also gives us some must-read analysis of handset capabilities which will prove itself invaluable when analysing opportunities in the market:

· 74.4 percent support polyphonic ringtones

· 35.6 percent support video streaming (expect this figure to soar in the coming months)

· 59.2 percent are able to download video clips

· 81.0 percent support WAP push messages

If you want to deep-dive into these figures (the first report includes detailed analysis of the top four by impressions: U.S., India, South Africa and U.K.), then click here for further analysis. This report is exactly what the mobile advertising market needs and will prove to be an invaluable tool for future analysis.

Peggy adds: Good catch James. We will present AdMob monthly stats on this site along with the monthly mobile search figures and trends that M:Metrics has graciously agreed to provide us on an exclusive basis. Thanks to Jaimee Minney for providing the newest batch of stats, which I’ll post on the site this week.
