Mobile 2.0 Europe Start-Ups Line Up; Includes Mobile Search (Kooaba, Taptu), Mobile Advertising (Futurlink), Location (Mobiluck) & Publishing For All (Mippin)
When I met Rudy De Waele at CTIA it was a meeting of the minds. I had long admired his passion for open innovation and insightful blog, and immediately pledged to support him in all his future projects/events in any way I could. I’m pleased to report MSG is on board for Mobile 2.0 Europe (as a media sponsor). This one-day event focusing on the Mobile Web and disruptive mobile innovation brings together experts and thought leaders from all areas of the mobile ecosystem, including investors, carriers, device manufacturers and mobile application developers.
I’m particularly looking forward to connecting with Charlie Schick, Editor-in-Chief for Nokia Conversations, and a deep-dive discussion into the new forms of content and communication emerging as we – all of us – create the mobile semantic Web.
I personally look forward to leading a discussion on social media. Other sessions will be moderated by some of Europe’s finest bloggers including Mike Butcher (TechCrunch UK) and Raimo van der Klein (SPRX Mobile). You can view the full speaker list and program agenda here.
A highlight of the event is certainly the quality and calibre of the start-ups that have been selected to present at the conference.Of 70 companies that applied, here is a list of the cool companies that convinced the Mobile 2.0 Organizing Committee. (Members: Daniel Appelquist, Senior Technology Strategist at Vodafone Group; Gregory Gorman, Principal at Tertius Advisory Services; Mike Rowehl, Director of Technology at Mowser; Peter Vesterbacka, Founder Some Bazaar; and Rudy De Waele, Co-founder dotopen / mTrends.)
