AdMob Reveals Latest Mobile Advertising Stats; Indonesia Emerges & iPhone Usage Spikes
In-Brief: AdMob’s monthly stats give an inside track of advertising growth & user demographics.
Regular readers will know MSG consistently reports key metrics released by mobile advertising marketplace provider AdMob. This series of must-read reports is chock-full of the analytics the company gleans from serving over one billion ads per month Its December AdMob Mobile Metrics Report. The iPhone continues to be the story, and usage jumped around the holiday period, indicating the iconic device was a popular holiday gift.

Overall, AdMob network impressions in December were up 17.5 percent over November. Expansion in Asia is also on the agenda, as AdMob has forged some strong publisher partnerships in Indonesia. It has also added Indonesia data to its monthly report. (Indonesia is the fifth biggest market for AdMob in ad impressions.) The top devices in AdMob’s top 4 markets remained the same: U.S. (Motorola KRZR), India (Nokia 6030), South Africa (Motorola v360) and the U.K. (SonyEricsson 800i). The top device in Indonesia is the same as the top device in India – the Nokia 6030.
